Watch a video blog below from the final day.

Well, folks, he's done it again. Kelly Slater won his 5th event of the year (out of 7) with a dramatic come from behind victory over Taj Burrow at Trestles. The win, the 39th of his career, earned him 75,000 dollars (the richest prize in the surfing's history) and put him more than 1400 rating points higher than 2nd rated, Burrow. He pulled out the win in the last 5 minutes of the heat - which is amazing considering that he convinced Burrow to surf a 40 minute rather than a 35 minute final right before the start.

A win at the next event, The Quiksilver Pro France, could potentially clinch his 9th world title. Click here for world title scenarios.

On the victory stand Kelly mentioned that he signed his first contract with Quiksilver on the beach at Trestles back in 1990. Later that night, he received a key to the City of San Clemente - see photo below.

Young Quiksilver team-riders Jeremy Flores and Dane Reynolds also had great showings at the event. Flores made it to the semi-finals finishing third place, while ASP Rookie Dane Reynolds finished in fifth.

Congratulations to Kelly, Dane and Jeremy!
