Trestles Day 2 Update and Photos

Pulled up in the lot and was greeted to new swell on tap. A combo in the water has some pure Trestles peaks and other broken lines so wave choice played a factor and the low tide most of the day didn't help concentrate the classic Trestles Peak. Later in the day most notably the last few hrs of competition really went off. Rnd of 128 Heat 1 Freddy P last yrs Lowers Pro Champion opened his 2010 campaign with a win and Julian Wilson right behind him in 2nd. Heat 2 Mar Ohno- 3rd place searching for a 5.5 that never came. Heat 11 Maxime Huscenot- battling the big boys in the WQS Max opened up with a solid flurry of hacks and held on in 2nd place. Really solid foundation underneath the slides and airs- deep top to bottom combos- impressive. Heat 14 Kiron Jabour- came up against an in form Nathan Hedge and unfortunately couldn't get the magic wave to drop the 8.03 needed to advance. Heat 16 Wiggoly Dantas- found form and unleashed a pretty solid carve to snap into a lofty air reverse for the win. Rnd of 96 Heat 1 Freddy P & Nic Muscroft came up against a fired up Adriano De Souza and Nic managed a 2nd w Fred in 3rd. Heat 2 Travis Logie & Julian Wilson- Julian surfed smart and precise- not sure if he's still nursing his ankle but looked smooth and powerful to win easily. Logie just never got the wheels moving and finished 4th
