The Quiksilver King Of The Peak Skins Is Back!

This highly anticipated annual event will showcase the best surfers in North America, the Caribbean and Latin America and crown the KING OF THE PEAK and reward him $3,000.00 in King’s Bonus Treasure! Surfers are expected to show from as far south as Barbados and as far north as Canada - all battling it out for the total prize Purse of $12,750 in Skins Cash and the chance to get their name a long the list of former Kings that reads like a who's who including former World Champions and present title campaigners Kelly Slater (Written in October 2010). Competition Overview: The QUIKSILVER KOP SKINS limited to a 92-man field with 4-5 man heats. A Surfer has a chance to get on a roll pocketing cash by choosing the best wave ridden and claiming it inside the allotted 20-minute heat period. The “CLAIM” format that Quiksilver popularized makes for an exciting spectator event. Crowds can get behind their favorite surfer’s and watch the leader of each heat keep advancing to every other heat.  A $200 Cash Skins award is given to the surfer for each heat win. The ESM Air show is also formatted into this two day event so look for the best high flying aerialist to take flight at the conclusion of either Round one or two depending on when the ramps start looking best. The DC Most Progressive Maneuver will be judged throughout the competition across all contests. The winner will take home and additional $500.00 Additionally, Quiksilver is kicking in $3000 for the surfer who takes the most skins of the day.
