Quiksilver Pro France 2014

Quiksilver Pro France 2014

From September 25th 2014 to October 6th 2014 the elite of men's global surfing heads to to Hossegor, Southern France for the Quiksilver Pro France, the ninth of eleven stops that make up the 2014 Men's ASP World Championship Tour

The world-class waves, exceptional atmosphere, mild weather and French art-de-vivre combine to make Hossegor one of the most popular events with competitors on the ASP World Tour. The competition will be run at the very best spots in one of the 4 municipalities thanks to a mobile event site. The objective is clear; to get the world's best surfers on the very best waves.

Over the last decade, the beach breaks of La Graviere at the Quiksilver Pro France, arguably the world's best, has firmly established itself among the essential destinations on the ASP World Tour alongside Tahiti's Teahupoo, the Superbank of Australia's Gold Coast, or Pipeline in Hawaii. Together, the venue in the Landes region of south-west France - home to towns including Hossegor, Seignosse and Capbreton - and the early autumn schedule, form a winning equation to guarantee the best waves for the world's best surfers.

This spectacular and free annual event attracts tens of thousands of spectators to the beaches of south-west France in a unique opportunity to see the very best surfers in the world together. Some of the biggest names in surfing have won the title at the Quiksilver Pro, including Andy Irons, Mick Fanning, Kelly Slater, and young Brazilian superstar Gabriel Medina.
